The one with Gillian's farewell!

Yap, she left us again...

But this time will only be a short one as she will return in July.
There is a huge possibility that I would go up there to attend her graduation and mine as well.
So it would be so cool...

We are trying to get Pee and Jac too... If they can.

The gathering started off dinner at "Cream Bistro" with Dera, Pee, Kev and me.
The rests were so late loh...
It was suppose to be 8 people at 8pm but then we ended up with 4...

By the time we finished eating at 9pm, Gillian and Michelle finally came.

We then proceed to "Borders Bistro" to have a drink while continuing to wait for the rest.
An hour later, they came...

We chatted, gossipped, drank, ate, finally its time to part and at that moment,

Ashley finally decided to show...
Her female boss refused to let her leave her work...
I guess that the life of an auditor.

Anyway, we got to take a final group picture before we went our separate ways...

The one with my new-found sight

It been 3 days since my ops, and my sight seems to be getting better.
It's really so surreal because from now onwards, everytime I wake up,

I can see the world clearly now.

Sometimes, I still forget that I do not need to put on glasses and
I would try to take it out whenever I went to bath or sleep.

Hope that this change will be good for me.

The one with my LASIK...

Yes I have finally gone through my lasik surgery and everything is perfect now. Right now, I am going through the process of recovery. I do pray it will be alright.

I can't say that I enjoyed the process throughout though. I had my obstacles as well.

During the process, the doctor had to adjust my position again and again. The reason is because I kept moving which I really couldn't help it. I was really uncomfortable. It was like 30 mins of hell. The things I went through is just so hard to describe, the cutting and lasering, it was really unbearable for me.
I thought when I did my second eye, it would be better. I was wrong, when cutting starts, I could actually feel a sharp pain cutting into my eye and I even shouted. I was terrified. But I bear with it. 30 long mins later, I was out and well. It was all worth it.

I am really glad I did this. No regrets. No more glasses or me.

What a change.

The one with my "Plastic" surgery

Yes, you heard me right. Today, I am going for my long-awaited lasik surgery.

Not exactly "plastic" surgery i know, but if I am not worng, they are going to insert something plastic inside right? I also don't know. I am pretty excited about it.

Although in the past, I had postponed a few times because I guess I am not ready. But now, I am absolutely ready to go through it, thick or thin.

Do wish me good luck and pray that everything will be alright and I will be safe.

The one with my Valentines' night out

So when we finally reached Clark Quay, HotStones, the girls had already almost finished their meals as they were here earlier. Kev&I were starving and we proceed to order our food quickly. My experience at HotStones was quite appalling. I had to get up to ask for a menu from the counter, following by ordering from the counter again, getting my utensils & water from the counter and lastly still have to pay for service charge. Not only that, during dinner, they dumb waiters were so frantic and seemed so lost that they dropped two hot stones apparently onto 2 customers’ table, which resulted a huge “CLUNG!” shocking the whole entire restaurant with the noise. Obviously, the 2 customers got free meals. Damn!

After my nightmare with HotStones, Dera, Ashley, Gillian, Shyka, Kev&me decided to go for a drink at “Makaresh”. The place was really interesting. They had it beautifully decorated in Arab style according to Kev and they had this long pipe for you to smoke. It is called “Shashi” if I am not wrong. So we sat and ordered our drinks. Some of the girls had their usuals while I had this bluish drink called “69ers”. It had lychee, martini, soda, fruits, and others more and it tasted marvelous. But then because Ashley the great, thinking that she is a good drinker, order something orangey with vodka inside, and unfortunately couldn’t continue with it, and had to change it with me.

Later on, Scott and Alyssa came to join in too and we had fun taking pictures and really making a fool of ourselves basically. Even the Indian bosses working there seemed to appreciate our presence and even gave us 20% discount on the drinks. Unfortunately, there was this incident where they forced me to drink something from their glass. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I may thank him for his hospitality, but drinking from his glass, Hell No! But they were so persistent and I had no choice but to give in and so I drank…

YUCK! That was the thought I had when I had to share the drink with an @#$%, if you know what I mean. But I don’t want to end up like two of our fellow gay friends who were recently being prosecuted for being racist. So I will not comment anymore. But all in all, it was great fun although I was a little drunk, but it was fun.

Thank you Dera for organizing this again. As this is going to be a yearly thing, “The Lonely Hearts Club” is 2 years old now. Although I am already taken, but this club did still helped me one way or the other. HeHe.

So thank you Dera Wu and we will see the lonely hearts again in the years to come.

The one with my long-awaited Valentine.

It finally here… Valentines’ Day.
Don’t get me wrong, it not like it is a very important day that I need to celebrate and stuff. To me, if it comes and there is someone in my life, then I will celebrate then. And I haven’t been celebrating it since like 2004. Then again, its only 2yrs ago, both with different group of friends.

So my day started with school as usual in the morning. Then Kev came to pick me up and gave me a bunch of beautiful roses.

I am really touched although he do not need to. I hate roses! HaHa.

I went back home to change and freshen up, trying to look nice for him before we headed out to Ritz Carlton for some high-tea. Unfortunately, we didn’t know it was English high-tea and all I can say was, the food wasn’t that fantastic and the selected was very limited, even though they presented the food in an interesting way. Still I had fun listening to live music and simply just being with him.

It was lovely…

After tea, we decided to take a walk in Millenia Walk, window shopping for furniture and clothes. I stopped by Raoul and got myself a two-ply pink long-sleeve shirt. It was really nice. Soon it was time for our movie date.

It was Brokeback Mountain. Sitting waiting eagerly in the cinema, I really hope the movie will impress me. As I sat and wait, it started… with Jake Gyllenhaal driving to work, without knowing that at the end of the line, he would meet Heath Ledger, the love of his life and that their lives will never be the same again.

As the movie proceeded, I felt this pain and a certain anguish aching inside as I watched them trying to live their lives. At the end of the movie, I left the theatre with an aching heart and I was very emotional. (Yes I know I can be a little dramatic, but when I watched such films, I tend to be that way alright!)

After the movie, as we were driving towards Clark Quay, the emotions of the movie still lingered within me. It was really a great fantastic movie. I was determined to shake that feeling off, so it was time for some great fun with Dera and the rest of the girls at Clark Quay. Kev&I were really hungry and exhausted after the movie. I guess it really drained you out.

Here are some other pictures for you to see...
