The one with my training so far...

It’s already the second week and I am still enjoying my training in STC, although there were certain ups and downs during this period of time, ultimately, it is still an pleasurable journey.

The reason I would say that sometimes it could get a little bit draggy might be because of all the role plays we had to go through over and over again or maybe it was because of some of the driest subject ever, like ‘Dry Store & Amenities’ and ‘Equipment’. Other than that, classmates in my batch were wonderful. There are really a diverse bunch of them from different walks of life. Luckily, all of them were Singaporeans.

Our lead trainer also happened to be one of the nicest ladies around and being in her class has been incredible. You won’t have a moment of dullness present. I am lucky. Also I am glad to be able to mingle with ALMOST all of my batch mates. Of course there definitely will have a few bad apples here and there, but there’s nothing we couldn’t handle.

I can’t talk much about what goes on in there as I might get into trouble if I revealed too much. Past trainees had got themselves into some problems when they wrote too much on their blogs. Legal issues I guess…

Overall my experiences there were simply marvelous. I can’t wait to go back each day to learn new stuff. Especially the hunky trainers I got occasionally. Hahaha… Having them around training us is definitely a bonus for me to stay awake at some of the driest and most boring subjects.

Can’t wait to fly and see the world soon…

That’s all for now. Will update soon. I am still trying to get use of the routine of waking up early and finishing late and all I want to do everyday when I come home is to SLEEP!!!

The one where I turn 2...8...

Finally my birthday entry. Sorry it took so long.

I could only find this moment to do it as I am waiting for my flight to KL to meet Kev and friends. Still has 3 hrs to go so I better make good use of it.

I had a great time and hope everyone else had too.
All these wouldn’t happen if there wasn’t my dear, Kev and his gang, special thanks to Andrew for the decorating and the sumptuous delectable food by Miss Cathay, and Kim for organizing the whole thing with Kev.

Was glad to see some new faces this year and definitely the old ones that I haven’t seen for the longest time.

The hotel was great, just enough for everyone to gather around to play some exciting games…

We started with some charades where friends made a fool of themselves. Later, it was pictionary where we had pasted mahjong paper on the huge window so that we would have enough space to scribble our masterpieces. We took a break for awhile as it was the time to make that wish come true… Cake cutting session!

Everyone gathered around for a group photo and after, Dera recorded a video of us fooling and my speech for the evening. It was fun…

After the feasting of the cake, we came back for a duel where we decide who is the best in the game of TABOO! It was fun seeing how competitive we got and we really kick each others’ ass. In the end, the ruler, the champion, the untouchable, the supreme, the hero and the best among the best, my group emerge victorious. Hahaha…

We played and played till about 5am… By then, everyone was dead tired and hardly anyone could move. I am happy to take some unglam shots of Tracy though which she had no idea she looked messy when she got up.

All in all, it was fun and unforgettable. Thank you all for making my 28th birthday memorable.

By the way, I just had my LAST music theory exam. Hope I aced it. Sigh… 2 more hours to go…

The one with my journey ahead...

Its been such a wonderful and surreal past few weeks for me. Did a bit of travelling here and there. Learning new things and leaving old things behind. I am just trying to take eveything in slowly and appreciating it as much as I can before I missed it.

I have finally QUITTED my job.

I am no longer a music teacher and I am going to do something maybe even more interesting than my previous one... But leaving my old job wasn't all blissful, I am also leaving behind all my beloved babies that I have groomed. After all, I spent like 6 years with them and have definitely developed a bond with them, especially the kids... Its been a joy and once again, I have to say goodbye...

I have my last lesson with them on the 28 Oct and I could see on their faces and their parents', they didn't want to end. The kids brought me wonderful little gifts and the teenagers gave me cards... All of them were sweet and thoughtful. One boy even came over to hug me before he left... That moment was priceless and thats the most precious gift I have ever received. Having the support from parents to leave for a better future was pleasing to know as well. They really care about my career and not only their kids. Thank you.

Today, I went to sign my bond and training will start on Monday, 06 Nov. I am excited and also nervous as all these just came rushing by. I am glad also that some of the friends I made throughout the interview journey will be joining me in the training which made things better. I just went to try out my uniform today and I hope I look good in them. HeHeHe... I also drafted out the route to the training centre as I am staying at North and the place is at the East which so happened that I do not have any direct transport unless I change buses at the terminal. Knowing me, if there is a chance, I won't choose that option. Through some arrangements and discussions, Kev has suggested and allowed me to drive to work.
Thanks dear...

Specially for Kev,
Thanks for the encouragment and support throughout this journey. Without you, I don't think I could have gone this far and took up this challenge. I will work hard and not let you down.
Thanks.
