The one with getting back to work

I think its like almost a month since I came back from London and other than my unpleasant experience, I had many to reminisce with. One very magical moment was to watch the Lion King Musical. It was one of my favourite movies from Disney. I will never forget the experience that I had. I was cool the way they portray the whole movie.

After London, its time for a nice relaxing 6-days holiday in HK. I was so looking forward to this bcos Kev and I havent been able to go somewhere together for awhile. We decided to quickly take a short trip to really destress ourselves. We had our fun shopping and hanging with friends but we also had our low times where we had many disagreement and fights. I was quite disappointed how it turned out actually as we really needed this break.

Ever since we were back, I did miss the good times we had when we were there, I had never really been to HK and really get a clear view of the entire city when I was there the last time. While I was there, I had one of my little silly childhood wish that came true. Though its a bad replica of it, I always wanted to go to DisneyLand (HK) with my love one. Thanks dear for making my dreams come true.

After coming back to spore, its time for the both of us to concentrate on our career again. Work for me is getting a little easier and better (I hope). Im really greatful.

My last trip, I just came back from Fukuoka, I finally got to meet a long time friend from Spore during my NS days. He got married and moved to Japan and had been doing quite well there ever since. I am very happy for him as if he would to stay in Spore, I wouldnt think he could do as well knowing to Sporean mentality. A simple example is, recently I have been trying to get into the NIE program again. To no surprise, I was rejected again.

You know why?

I didnt graduate with a local university. You mean just because you are from NTU, NUS, SMU... you are good? Stupid Idiot whoever is incharge!!! Thats discrimination!!! Look at some of the crappy teachers they produced. Worst, some of them went into it bcos of convenience. Thinking that this is the easy way out instead of finding a career out there. I didnt realise my passion for teaching until I got out of it and missed the fun times when I had with my students. The bonds and friendships that we developed. Sometime, in order to really appreciate something, you must experience loosing it first and when you finally got it back thru obstacles, you will really appreciate and enjoy the job fully.

Alrite, enough of that and back to my visit to Fukuoka, 'Kenzo' (my friend's new jap name) brought me to ANOTHER ferris wheel. I think I am having serious ferris wheel diarrhoea. Wats the craze with this really?!!?!?! It seems like a trend to have a wheel in every damn place. SHOW SOME CREATIVITY PEOPLE!!! Furthermore, I was told that Fukuoka has the second BIGGEST wheel in the world... (HUH?!?). Worst, while I was up there, all I could see was almost complete darkness!!! Although it overlook several islands nearby, there was no light or nothing to look at... it was such a boring 10mins ride back to reality. Still I do appreciate the show around. Thanks.

Next stop... MALE. I hope its nice and sunny!!!

sign out.
